Research & Assessments

The Climate Centre undertakes a wide range of climate research and environmental assessments to support evidence-based responses to climate change. Our work spans climate risk analysis, emissions profiling, regional vulnerability assessments, and studies on the integration of renewable energy. We see these activities as vital to understanding the impacts of climate change and identifying effective, locally relevant solutions. By grounding our work in data and collaboration, we aim to help communities, governments, and industries make informed choices that support a more resilient and sustainable future.

We also conduct climate assessments of Australia's bioregions which you can read more about here, and that are relevant to local communities which you can read more about here. We collect data relevant to tourism industry impacts, which you can read more about here. Read more about our work on ocean temperatures here, coastal assessments here, and heat stress here.
