Policy Analysis

Policy Analysis

The Climate Centre is dedicated to addressing environmental and climate-related challenges through research, advocacy, and public outreach. Our policy analysis program focuses on evaluating and improving the Australian government’s policies, particularly in the context of Australia's green energy transition and environmental commitments. By conducting thorough research and analysis, the program aims to ensure that policies are effective in meeting climate goals and promoting sustainable practices.

Policy analysis is often limited and restricted to narrow scope subject matter, however climate change is a wide-reaching and broadly impactful aspect of our environment, and as such our policy analysis program aims to relate to many different areas, including healthcare, cost of living issues, legal assistance, social justice, amongst others. Read more about our passion for public advocacy here. Our State of Policy Report will cover a wide variety of topics across environmental impact and ecosystem health, the energy transition, economic and industry impacts, public services, and climate justice and geopolitics. It will be released in the final quarter of 2025.

We also conduct ongoing policy analysis and engage in advocacy to government as part of the Australian federal government's public submission process. You can read some of our past submissions below.
