Public Outreach
The Climate Centre connects with the public through outreach initiatives designed to raise awareness and inspire action. These efforts include producing digital tools and materials including print and audio based products. We also participate in conferences, and engage in advocacy to policymakers, potential donors, and the general public. This broader outreach strategy helps build a wider coalition of supporters, influences public opinion on key issues, and creates pathways for new stakeholders to learn about and support our cause through various channels that extend far beyond localised community engagement efforts.
We engage with the public through various efforts. You can read more about how we engage with stakeholders here, about how we develop digital tools for the public here, how we conduct interviews with researchers and early career scientists here, how we summarise climate related news for the public here, how we help people process eco-anxiety here, and how we incorporate these aspects together in our podcast A Climate of Change here. We also engage with the public through our volunteer program which you can learn more about here.
